Vera Wang: Lovestruck!

So I got a little pressie from the bf and it came in the form of Vera Wang's latest perfume: Lovestruck.

Now there were numerous reasons why I wanted this perfume and one of them being that the face of this fragrance is non other than Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester. I tried this scent in Debenhams a couple of weeks bag and instantly fell in love with it, a perfect fragrance for the summer.

The bottle is absolutely stunning, it's the biggest bottle I currently own for the pure fact of the tops design. Not brilliant if you want to carry it in your handbag, but saying that I have found that once you put a couple of sprays of it on your wrist it is strong but will last. When saying strong I don't mean a couple of sprays and you're knocking people out, but enough that people can tell you are wearing perfume.

I thought something like this if not done properly could come across quite tacky but this isn't a case of that. It looks very elegant, the colours are beautiful the bottle will easily double up as a decorative piece in my bedroom. I've got a couple of close up's of the design.

The scent is something I always try and look for in a perfume something girly, sweet and fruity. My favourite before this would have to probably be Nina Ricci's apple but this has completely beat it. If you are familiar with Wang you may have tried her other fragrances out and I have found that it is similar to 'Princess' but just not aimed at the teen market but the younger woman.

If you do manage to get a hold of one of these fabulous perfumes before 2nd August you (not sure if this is the same date for all stores) but you will manage to get a free bag, I've seen this promotion at stores such as: Debenhams, The Perfume Shop and Superdrug. Debenhams and The Perfume shop are currently giving a lovestruck bag away with theirs which is black with a pink bow whereas Superdrug are giving away a Princess bag along with any purchase of Vera Wang. Personally I prefer the Princess bag because in person I thought it looked nicer and I think it's a bit bigger which is perfect to take on holiday with.

The perfume comes in three sizes: the 30ml is priced at £35, 50ml at £48 and 100ml at £62. This is a perfume that I feel will last me a while as I know I won't have to keep topping it up throughout the day.

So if you have any questions just pop them down in the comment section :)
