Happy New Year

Hi lovelies,

Wow how quick has the year gone?!!

I'd just like to thank you all for your support this year and hope it continues into next year, unfortunately (as I may have mentioned in previous posts) I have damaged my knee and there is currently fluid in there so I have to go for an MRI to see what's causing it so that's great way to enter the new year still with a bad knee. Anyways I have lots of new things planned for the new year and plenty more reviews for you all.

Have a fabulous new year <3 and thank you all again.

Christmas Haul

Hi lovelies,

I hope you've all had a great Christmas and eaten and drank loads - I know I certainly have. Hope Santa gave you everything you asked for. I wanted to do a haul showing you all the lovely things I was given, and cannot be happy enough with what I got, my moms a star I asked her for only a couple of things cause I get my new car in March but she really spoilt me.

I won't go into too much detail as I will be reviewing a lot of the makeup items in the new year, going to warn you now that it'll be pic heavy.

Starting with probably one of my most favourite presents (and yes I'm a big kid)

Even got her a cute jumper.

We had a secret Santa and work and one of the lovely girls got me these, excluding the glee cosmetics bag - just joined them up for less photos.

These were off the lovely boyfriend - normally we end up spending loads of money on each others pressies, but as we're going to Florida next year saving our money for then.

Onto the load of nail polishes I got treated to, didn't realise there were so many until I started taking photos of them:

This was my favourite present off the mother and father and totally took me by surprise:

Anyways hope you enjoyed the pictures, and what did Santa bring you nice?

Christmas NOTD

Hi lovelies,

So doing a quick post today, when doing my nails yesterday I wanted to go for a Xmas look, so I quickly scrambled this look together. I want to apologise for the state of my hands the amount of cuts I've been getting from work have been stupid, damn you delivery. The joys of working the week before Christmas Merry Hill (where I work) has been stupidly busy but it's to be expected.

Anyways onto the nails:

For this look I used Nails Inc 'Piccadilly Circus' from Glamour magazine, and Barry M's 'Red Glitter', this has been a common combo lately but I thought instead of doing the ring finger look I've been sporting lately, I'd do a Xmas manicure, unfortunately my nails weren't as long as I would have liked after cutting them for my falsies but I think they've still come out nice.

Have any of you lovelies been sporting Christmas nails? Only 3 sleeps to go.

December Christmas 'Limited Edition' Glossybox

Hi lovelies,

So sorry about the lack of posts the past couple of days, been working quite a bit and haven't had time to do posts, but I've had the photo's ready for the past fews days.

I received my lovely box on Wednesday morning and when my dad shouted to me that it had arrived I literally jumped at him and got the box from him, when I had heard that the box was a special limited edition I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

Yay, so as you can see the box is a lovely red edition, instead of the pale pink we are all used to. The box is part two of Glossybox's Christmas Gift Guide, and is filled with treats to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Anyways onto what you receive in the box:

Rituals Foaming Shower Gel (Full size £6.50)

This is the item I was most intrigued about, on first glances it doesn't look like usual shower gels, and I have never tried a foam shower gel before so this will be interesting to use, I did give it a smell when first getting it and it smells lovely, so can't wait to use this. Currently using last months shower gel (which I'm loving and will do a review on).

Cargo Lip Gloss (Travel Size)

I knew that this lipgloss was going to be in the box this month, and when I saw the colours available in this month's box I was hoping to get this colour so really happy when I saw it in my box, this is a colour I could see myself using most days as it's the sort of colour I'd go for. This is the perfect size to chuck into your bag for touchups during the day, and the full size of this retails at £10. Looking forward to using this and let you guys know what I think.

Blink and Go Mascara (Full Size)

I can't wait to try this mascara out, I love mascaras and I love trying new ones out, I haven't heard of this brand before and can't wait to see what the product is like. The packaging is very sleek and I'm happy that this product is full size. This normally retails at £14.99 which I don't mind paying for when the product is good. Will probably use this, this week and let you guys know.

MeMeMe Seventh Heaven (Sample Size)

This is one of my favourite items to have received this month, I already got a trial sized item from MeMeMe to try out and instantly fell in love with it, have been using it for the past couple of weeks and when I got this item I was super excited to get another sample size, the full size of this is £15 and I will definitely be getting the full sized item as inside the box there is a money off code. I love the smell of this and is quickly becoming my most used primer replacing my much beloved Witch primer.

Deborah Lippman Razzle Dazzle mini and Stripper To Go

This is my favourite item out of this months box, I am a big fan of Deborah Lippmann polishes but can never justify the £16 price tag, the travel sized one is £14 which again is a lot of money to spend on polishes. This is a gorgeous black/pink shade and I cannot wait to use this, perfect for the Christmas season. I am really happy with this polish, and I don't think I own any colours similar to this, even though I own a lot of glitters none are like this. I really hope this lives up to the hype when just looking at the bottle.

This also comes with a stripper to go mitten, which helps remove polish. I've heard quite a bit about this product so this will be interesting to use as I've never used anything like this, looking forward to it.

Anyways, here's what I received in this months Glossybox, and I can say I'm super happy with what I got, have you received your Glossybox this month? What do you think?

Nailene Ultra Adhesive Tabs Review

Hi lovelies,

So as I mentioned in my last post I attended my works Xmas do at the weekend and instead of painting my nails for the event, I chose to use falsies. Now I haven't used this since I was around 16 and I used to love playing with these, I'd get ones with funky looking manicures the lot!

Anyways, when one of the girls at Sparkle-PR asked if I was interested in reviewing a set of Nailene tabs I was really excited to try them out.

I've always been used to using the glue that comes in nail packs, and never really ventured into using nail adhesive tabs so I was looking forward to using them for the event.

Nailene Nail Studio: I got the classic 24 short nails, but you can buy different designs and lengths. However I find this length the most practical for doing things, I find when I get longer nails I'm always worried about them coming off, however these have been lovely to wear and I've found the short ones great when being at work and doing other things.

In each set as I mentioned you get 24 nails, each nail is numbered on the inside so you know which nails correspond to which when putting pairs together, and the nail sizes are reasonable as sometimes you get a pack and find the nails are sometimes too wide or not big enough.

Nailene Ultra Adhesive Tabs: These are a little gem, the pack contains 24 tabs to place upon your nail, and you can measure the size of each tab easily with the plastic they are attached to. Nailene promise these tabs will last for five days and are water resistant, claims I wasn't sure they would live up to with only ever using glue.

What Nailene say:

'These aceton free, glue-free, stick-on-tabs come with a peel off sheet, making them easy to apply straight to your own nails with minimal fuss or mess. Just pop a set of Nailene's stirking, nail studio natural, french manicured or decorated nails on top and transform un-manicured nails to A-list talons quicker than applying polish'.

Application:

Now I wasn't sure how they would work, as I was applying these Saturday while watching X-Factor so I wasn't paying 100% attention when I should have really.

When you open the tabs they are all on a plastic sheet which make it easy to judge the size you need for your nail.

When you find the right size tab for your finger gently peel it off the sheet and place it on your nail, sometimes using tweezers may help for a neater application, then peel the top layer off the tab.

After placing the tab on your fingers find the nail that will fit, it's best to do this either before applying the tab or while the top layer is still on, I find by picking your nails out first it's easier.

When taking the top sheet off place your nail into place, I only held the nail for 10 seconds and it was placed quite securely, I would recommend a couple of minutes though.

My Thoughts:

Here's what the look like on, this photo was taken yesterday three days after application, and they were still going strong.

I really enjoyed wearing these, I kept them on until this afternoon and the only reason for taking them off today was that the one adhesive had got dirty and I wanted to paint my nails.

What I liked about these was how easy the application was, I do prefer this method to glue for the fact it's easier. These are designed to last from anywhere from 5 hours to 5 days, and I would have kept them on the the five days if they hadn't got dirty.

I've found that these have stayed on not only during my xmas do, but during work where I was on the tills for the majority of my shift dealing with money and then at home doing the washing and other various tasks. For tabs they are great, they do stick on really well, my only couple of gripes with these were sometimes I found they were sliding up but I'm not sure if that's to do with the tabs I chose as my thumbs were really sturdy, secondly they do tend to get stuff stuck in them, I have managed to get my hair in their and when I took them off I was surprised at the stuff in there.

When taking them off they were quite easy to remove, apart from my thumb because of how sturdy that one was. Using a nail file I managed to get them off easy, and any access glue can be removed with nail polish remover or a 4 sided file.

These felt really lovely to have on, and considering I haven't used false nails in a while it makes me want to go back to using them more often. I will probably invest in bigger packs, that way when I get bored of the manicure look I can paint them and create different looks without feeling that I've ruined the nails by painting them.

Nailene tabs get a big thumbs up for me, even my mom went out and purchased some yesterday after she commented on how nice mine look, bless her. Nailene Ultra Adhesive Tabs are priced at a reasonable £2.49 and Nailene Nail Studio Nails are £4.69 and are available from Boots, Superdrug, Tesco and Asda.

What are you thoughts on false nails?

These products were sent to me to review, all opinions are my own.

Top 5 Monday: Mascara's

Hi lovelies,

I hope you've all had a great weekend, wasn't sure I'd get this post up today as I attended my works Christmas do last night and I can say I had a bit to drink and have been feeling that today, but however I did managed to get photo's done and have fought through feeling rough and getting the post done.

Bit random aren't these early nights getting a bit annoying when you need to take photo's, I was doing them earlier in my conservatory and hated how dark it was and the flash wasn't working brill on the products. Grr roll on longer spring/summer days, even though I do love the winter.

Today's top five is a favourite product of mine: mascara's this is a must have item for me, and I was looking through my collection earlier today and couldn't believe how many mascara's I owned, it was hard whittling it down to five but here are my top picks:

1. Benefit They're Real

If you saw my review on this a couple of months ago you'd see that I was a big fan of this, and I used this again last time (first time in a while because I was going through others to use them up for short everyday looks) and oh my goodness I do love this mascara. This really does do wonders in terms of length (not volume however) and I love what this looks like when on.

As I mentioned in brackets it doesn't add much volume but to be fair I don't mind too much as I can forgive it for that. This lasts a long time without flaking and even though this mascara isn't waterproof it still doesn't move when it meets with water - unless you find yourself in floods of tears.

This is an expensive product especially for eyeliner but I don't mind paying the price for such a good product.

2. Collection 2000 Big Fake

I adore this mascara especially since it's a drugstore product, I find this gives both length and volume which is great in a mascara. I think this is probably my favourite drugstore mascara, and another thing I find with this it separates my lashes which is always a bonus as you find some end up clumping them together.

The staying power of this is also great, it will last all day without smudging or flaking with gives it brownie points, I would say this is probably my go to for everyday looks mainly because of the price tag. This is one I think I will continue to repurchase as I really like using this, I love the way it looks on my lashes and it gives great length.

3. Lash Em Double Trouble Mascara

(I'm currently still trying out and reviewing another Lash Em Product that I was sent alongside this)

I've been using this product for a while now and I have to say I adore this product, I wouldn't have heard about this brand unless I was contacted by them, and yes I didn't pay for this product myself but I am very happy with this.

What I like about this is that it is double ended with one side aimed to give length and the other volume, I do however think that the wands look a bit weird as the thicker one is actually for length whereas I figured it would have been for volume.

Nevertheless I do really like this mascara, I find it similar to Benefit's They're Real as it gives length but not much volume. I do like however the way this product also separates my lashes especially on the bottom eyelid as I find when applying there that is where it's going to clump the most.

I find the staying power also great, like the other products mentioned it hasn't been flaky and will last all day, I do like just using the wands on their own both also give good natural looks.

4. Collection 2000 Pump Up The Volume

This was featured in my last month favourites, and I adore this. I'm not sure if it's as good as the big fake mascara as it doesn't give the volume that does but it certainly delivers on the length.

I still really like this mascara, I find sometimes it's the best of them all for length, I love the curved wand it makes application very easy. I like how it also curves my lashes slightly as I don't really like using eyelash curlers so any mascara that adds a curve is a winner in my books.

Just like the others staying power is great, I've used this when I've been at uni for 10 in the morning and I'm still at work at 10 at night and it's still on my lashes so really good for that, however by that time there was a bit of flakiness but that's to be expected 12 hours later.

Really great drugstore product and if you're just a fan of volume not length this is the product for you as it can kick a few ass's when it comes to length.

5. Rimmel Day 2 Night

I was really curious when this product came out, how you could create two different looks with just one mascara, and I wasn't sure how it would with the wands looking very similar and after playing with it the volume cap only contained a tube.

To be fair when applying the wands separately I don't see too much difference only if I just flick the length one on, but I love using this with both wands all the time hence why its made my top 5. I love the volume this gives, some people say this looks clumpy when applying the volume, but I find once you separate your lashes that helps.

This is one of those I think you have to try to see whether you like it, just like marmite you either love it or not but I really do. I don't really use it for its intended day to night purpose but I never was so that doesn't matter really, and all in all it's a great product for the price.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my favourites this week and managed to get it posted just before 12. Oh my how quickly is Christmas coming as well I can't believe we're on the 12th already.

Just want to know also if you guys want to see a Clothes Show haul as I still have everything in their bags in my room and don't want to put them away if you want to see what I got.
