I hope you are all well and those with snow are staying safe if travelling. The past couple days have been rather exciting, I got a couple of marks back yesterday for assignments (one I thought I had failed) and did shockingly well.
Anyways last month I attended Clothes Show, and normally I don't do hauls of what I got their because I knot a lot of people do go and I pretty much get the same as I see on other blogs so tend to do separate reviews a little later. If you have gone before you will know that you can get a lot of bargains and most places do goodie bags where you pay a low amount for a great range of products.
I got a few of those and probably one of my favourite bags was the Daily Mail one, the bag itself was £3 and you got a lot of great products - however shades were not consistent and there was one little gem that was worth the cost of this bag.
I did a look round on the internet and I believe this is a shade that has now been discontinued and is hard to now get a hold of hence it's low price within the goodie bag. However this did not put me off at all as I think it is a gorgeous shade, and will be perfect for summer nights out. This was part of the Rouge Pur lipstick line from YSL and I only own one other lipstick from this which is Blonde Ingenue which is a gorgeous nude pink made famous by Lana Del Rey but that's another post for another day.
What I love about these lipsticks is the quality of them, they are so smooth to apply and I find as a higher end brand YSL are one of my favourites when it comes to lipsticks. The formula is very creamy so will glide on easily and feels yummy when applied (if that is possible). However because of their creamy consistency it does mean you will have to build the colour to achieve the look you want, saying that though it doesn't bother me being a light shade.
Despite its extremely creamy consistency it does stay well on the lips, I find it can last around 4 hours which I find is quite average for a lipstick but like I said considering it was so creamy I didn't expect it. I do find once applied this reminds me of Nars Orgasm and Sleek Rose Gold so I think it's the lipstick equivalent of those. However I don't know how they'd look combined together whether that would be too much - something I could imagine.
I think there is just something about the packaging of YSL lipsticks whether it's the square look of these or the round bullets, to me they just scream luxury and absolutely adore the simplicity of the packaging.
My only gripe about this lipstick is that it is now a discontinued shade which means it is extremely hard to get a hold of, and I think the shade would have been one that could have sold well even now. When Spring finally arrives I can see this becoming one of my most used lip products!
Hope you liked, did you go to Clothes Show in December, if so what bargains did you pick up?
