Shiseido Eyelash Curlers
These are actually the first pair of eyelash curlers I have ever purchased and it's safe to say that not only are they my first, but they are also my favourite. I had never really seen the need for purchasing an eyelash curler, but then just before I went to America last year kinda wanted one to see how they worked and figured why not go for a middle range brand and I had heard rave reviews about the Shiseido Eyelash Curlers, so they made their way onto my wishlist.
Now not really having anything to compare these to I can't say how they compare to other brands, but I love using these. I wish I had known, or wanted to try these babies sooner! (Blame my mom) I cannot believe how much of a difference these make to the overall appearance of my lashes, and even more so once I have applied mascara. They definitely help with the wide-eye effect, and I find that this works a charm with my Benefit They're Real Mascara. Literally feel that the two go hand in hand perfectly and help keep my lashes curled all day.
To use these they are very simple, once you have applied the curler within your lashes and pressed down it doesn't feel weird or irritable. In fact these eyelash curlers are very soft on the lashes, which means that once you release the curler you don't feel that you're ripping your lashes out in the process.
I find that it only takes around 10-15 seconds on each lash to curl before applying my mascara, which is a really quick process for such gorgeous results.
Inside the packaging you get an extra rubber pad to replace the one that is already inside the curler once that wears out, it's just a case of remembering where you put it when you need to change the rubber. Luckily enough I kept my box otherwise I know I would have lost the little rubber literally as soon as it entered my room. When it comes to changing the pad I just tend to have a look at it and judge it simply by how worn, battered or grubby it is.
I have read somewhere (and please correct me wrong) that eyelash curlers are meant to last around a year, but I've been using mine for just over and they are still going strong, producing a lovely curl to the lash. So if anyone can shed some light into the longevity of these it would be greatly appreciated.
They retail at £18 and I think they are worth every penny, especially when you think that I have had them for over a year and use these daily it works out as a great little investment. I think you can get them from department stores like House of Fraser so are really easy to get a hold of.
Have you guys tried the Shiseido Eyelash Curlers? I'd love to know your thoughts, or if you have a different favourite curler.
