Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks
Winter really likes to wreak havoc on my skin, which means that it needs that extra bit of pampering to keep my skin feeling hydrated and cleansed. You may have spotted a range of Montagne Jeunesse beauties in Boots/Superdrug, or even in the aisles of your local supermarket. I will admit, I was a little put off by the low price rag, as I was worried that these wouldn't be very good, as this is a trap I have fallen into plenty of times when it comes to cheap products. However when curiosity got the better of me I picked these up whilst they were on offer in Asda, and are so glad that I did as I have fallen in love with these since.
Their generous range is comprised of products made from natural ingredients and that are paraben free. I love popping one of these on during a Sunday afternoon whilst I wind down and give my skin a little treat.
I can honestly say that I haven't come across a bad face mask from their range, each with different properties and uses. However I tend to opt for the deep cleansing masks as these are designed to not only cleanse your pores but to also remove any traces of trapped oil or dirt in the process, leaving skin feeling super soft and clean.
It is recommended to keep these masks on for around 10-15 minutes, but saying that I have left them on a little longer in the past purely for not keeping track of time. When these start to dry on the skin you get a weird tightening sensation, but I always think it means that they are doing something to my skin. I always find it funny to see yourself in the mirror and look at where you have managed to crack the face mask whilst on.
As soon as I have cleaned my face, these masks always leave my skin feeling great even a couple of days after application. My skin always feels soft and smooth, looks more even and there is absolutely no shine on my face which is a major bonus as I have combination skin.
Some of the masks smell absolutely gorgeous, however I will warn you there are a few that don't smell as fruity and lovely as others. Some of my favourites have to be the smoothie range as these always smell edible, they are that lovely.
Best of all these masks are super affordable, many stores do have offers on these as well. Ranging between £1.00 - £1.50 and are often on offer so these little beauties won't break the bank, especially when you think one sachet will last you up to 3 masks.
My only gripe with these masks are the packaging that they come in, as each sachet is suggested to last around 2-3 masks, it can sometimes be hard to store if you don't have a spare pot lying around to scrape the rest into. However if not these are a great product for sharing, and I normally do this instead of storing it for another day.
I will not only apologise for the low quality photo of me, but also the scary face mask photo. The one I have on in that photo is the sauna mask which is a whole new experience compared to the others, but a great one at that.
What are your thoughts on the Montagne Jeunesse face masks? I'd love to know your thoughts!
