Benefit Gimme Brow in Light / Medium - £14.00

So last weekend Benefit had a little stint on QVC to showcase their latest product, Gimme Brow; an innovative brush-on fibre gel which bonds to the skin and hair to create amazing brows. I was looking forward to seeing this product on the show, and was simply amazed watching Lisa (Benefit's head makeup artist) apply this on the models. It looked so easy and the results were incredible, so naturally I had to add this little baby to my shopping cart and get it before the store release next month.

Now I will admit when I opened this product I did think it looked quite small, and that's because you only get 3g's of product. The brush tip is small also, the easiest way to describe the size is to compare it to being the same size as my baby fingernail. However saying that, it is designed to be precise for applying to the brows, and despite the small size I do see this lasting a while (hopefully).

Unfortunately I am not blessed with thick lashes, they do have their flaws. They are a little sparse, especially towards the end where they seem to just disappear. So I am always on the lookout for the perfect brow product that will leave me with thick and darker brows that stand out. I always want something that I can quickly apply when in a rush as I don't always have the time to whip out Brow Zings.

So I popped this on my brows and was surprised at how easy this was to apply, instead of following the little guide with the product I did it the way Lisa did on QVC - by going against the brow hairs and then going back over them the in short strokes into the hairs. I was surprised at how this quickly this tinted the brows, defined them and ultimately left them looking thicker.

Formula wise, it's something that I've never really tried before when it comes to a brow product. I normally like to use a pencil and then a tint to set the brows. However this formula is different to most tinted brow gels, it feels more lightweight than others which feels lovely as your brows don't feel cakey. The one thing I have come to dislike is the way that tinted gels tend to leave brows hard and crunchy, however Gimme Brows doesn't do this. After coating your brows with this, you can easy shape them further with a spoolie, and then add more product where needed.

The gel formula is waterproof also, which means it ain't budging for anything. I put this to the test whilst washing my hair as I always seem to get water everywhere, and safe to say this thing stayed on my brows. It also doesn't budge throughout the day, I popped this on at around 10 this morning as was still there at half 7 when I washed my hair.

Gimme Brow comes in the choice of two shades: Light/Medium and Medium/Deep, now I was a bit unsure which shade to go for but in the end opted for Light/Medium, which is the perfect shade for my brows.

Overall this product really helps define your brows, and cuts down on application time as this acts as a pencil and gel all in one. I find it takes literally a couple of minutes to create darker yet natural looking brows. I believe this isn't released in Benefit stores until mid Feb and in department stores like Debenhams next month. So if you are an eager beaver you can buy this on QVC, and it is a product that won't disappoint.

Are you looking forward to the release of Gimme Brow? Or did you buy off QVC?
