Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss Lipstick in Shade 28
Being a big fan of Rimmel's Kate Moss range I was super excited to hear that they were adding new products to the collection (I won't go into too much detail as I have purchased the eyeliner and mascara ready to review). The latest range is a modern take on boho chic, and amongst the range there is the addition of three new gorgeous lipsticks.
In the end I decided to pick up the shade 28 which is described as a vintage rose colour, although I find it more of a shimmery coral. Nevertheless it looks gorgeous in the bullet and when applied I fall in love with this classical pink. This shade is perfect for the summer as it's bright, shimmery and really stands out. I find that this shade quite similar to 16 apart from 28 being a lot more shimmery, and what I love about this is that it changes depending on the light that you are in.
Once applied this lipstick reminds me a lot of MAC's Bombshell due to the glossiness and colour. Which means that this will definitely be a winner for me during the summer as recently I have been sporting Bombshell as a signature lip.
The Lasting Finish Kate Moss Lipsticks have a creamy formula which is infused with Black Diamonds which reflect light like never before, and Black Mica for stay true colours with incredible depth and intensity. Shade 28 is really pigmented and can easily be built up, I find that one layer provides a lovely natural sheen whereas if you choose to build this up it leaves a shimmery bright pink which is going to be one of my signature summer shades I can just tell.
As with the previous Kate Moss lipsticks this really does deliver an impressive formula, not only are they creamy and hydrating but they also seem to last quite a while on my lips - which is impressive for a drugstore brand. I find this lipstick lasts anywhere from the 4 to 6 hour mark which doesn't quite meet Rimmel's claims but still I think is fab, I do find that this transfers easily onto glasses and food but it leaves a gorgeous pink stain on the lips.
My only gripe about these lipsticks is that they are numbered and don't have any names, is it me or do you like it when lipsticks have these fun and quirky names?
Encased in Kate Moss' signature black matte packaging and embossed signature, I really love this look. Not only is it sleek looking but also very sophisticated and I think it makes these lipsticks look more expensive that what they really are.
Overall Rimmel's latest shades for the Kate Moss collection are gorgeous, especially shade 28. I think that this is perfect for the summer and would really suit my skintone once it has a tan and for a drugstore brand this really can battle against some of the premium bad boys.
Have you tried any of the new Kate Moss for Rimmel products? I'd love to know which ones and your thoughts!
PS. I really love this warm weather we are having currently, but my gosh hay fever is really kicking in. I haven't really suffered from it before so any tablet suggestions or anything to stop my runny nose and overall crappiness will be greatly appreciated!
