Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set - £53.50
So it's official, I finally caved and got my hands on the gorgeous Zoeva Rose Gold Luxury set. As a fan of makeup brushes I knew that I needed to one day own these in my collection. Technically James bought them for me as an early anniversary present (what a babe!).
The Zoeva Rose Gold Luxury Set contains 8 essential brushes for your daily brush set, which are perfect for when on the go. The set contains both high quality natural hair and synthetic taklon bristles, which means that they are perfect to use with cream and powder based products. Did I mention they come encased in a gorgeous travel clutch - which is a shame to just use for makeup.
Honestly these types of sets are my favourite, as I love how basic they are, yet completely usable. Inspired by the dazzling explosion of pink and gold these stunning brushes are a rose gold lovers dream. This set really stands out amongst my other makeup brushes, purely for the fact that they look really pretty on my dresser.
In the set you get 5 face brushes which include the: 106 Powder brush, which is designed for applying loose and pressed powder. The 102 Silk Finish brush which is used to apply and blend foundation, and has quickly become my favourite brush from the set. The 110 Face Shape brush is perfect for contouring the face shape with both cream and powder products. The 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek brush is design for applying powder blush, and finally the 142 Concealer Buffer does what it says on the tin: applies and blends concealer.
The three eye brushes in the set include the 227 Soft Definer (a great MAC dupe) which is designed to softly blend and smooth eyeshadow. The 231 Petit Crease brush, which is perfect for accentuating and blending in the crease, and lastly the 317 Wing Liner brush which is great for creating the perfect wing and detailed eyeliner.
These brushes are perfection, there aren't any in the set that I dislike and the stand out brush for me personally has to be the 102 Silk Finish brush which has knocked the RT Buffing Brush out of the ball park (sorry RT's). There are a couple where I question their original use such as the 110 Face Shape Brush, as it's a little small for contouring so when I do use this it's literally used for my bronzer line and that's about it. The 227 is perfect for blending eyeshadow and has been compared to MAC's 217 and I can see why - this is a great dupe for a fraction of the price.
Overall I will start with the obvious, this brushes are stunning! The combination of rose gold ferrules and matte handles create a beautiful collection that will take pride of place. I purchased the set off Love Makeup for £53.50 which may sound a little steep but when you consider the fact that you get 8 brushes and 2 bags this works out as a steal. I really would recommend these as a great starter set for your makeup collection as they not only look stunning but work a dream.
Have you tried Zoeva brushes yet? I'd love to know what you think!
