August Favourites: Loom Bands, Batiste Dry Shampoo, Soap and Glory Clean on Me, Urban Decay Super Saturated Lip Colour in Glinda, Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick and Taylor Swift Enchanted Wonderstruck
Each month I say the same thing, 'it doesn't seem like two minutes ago we were in the previous month'. This year is really flying by, and I can't believe we're heading into Autumn already, anyways another month brings more favourites and so I wanted to share with you some of my favourites from this month.
Loom Bands - Yeah, it's true I've joined the hype! A little late, but honestly I don't care. Since one of the girls from work bought me the kit (thanks Lyd) I have been obsessed with making colourful bracelets and accessories. It's strange how something such as little elastic bands can bring such fun - and yes once you've mastered one style you quickly want to learn the next. It's official I'm hooked!
Batiste Dry Shampoo - Dry Shampoo has been a firm favourite of mine for many years, and I always love the addition of new ranges so once I saw the Floral Essences I knew I had to add this to my collection. Firstly the packaging of this is gorgeous and a warm welcome against the traditional patterns, followed my a great scent this has become my go to edition this month.
Soap and Glory Clean on Me - I don't know why it's took me so long to try this shower gel out, I've had a couple of bottles stored away and when I remember to finally put one in the shower I have fell in love with the scent and feel. Normally I will use a standard Radox depending on which one my picks up, so to take an interest in a shower gel is a big thing for me. May I add the big bottle of this lasts forever! It was just easier to take a photo of the travel sized one.
Urban Decay Saturated Lip Colour in Glinda - Unfortunately this product is no longer available after being a limited edition for the release of Oz the Great and Powerful. I was going through my makeup drawer the beginning of the month and after a long time of neglect I remembered that I had this little beauty tucked away. So after getting it back out I realised why I first fell in love with the shade, it's a stunning neutral that looks perfect for any ocassion and glides on perfectly smooth.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick - I won't go into too much detail here as my previous review looks at the shade Frambourjoise. However no matter how hard I tried to resist and not jump on the bandwagon I couldn't help myself and I caved! I'm glad I did though, these have proved to be one of the best things since sliced bread. A matte lipstick that is hydrating on the lips almost sounds like a contradiction, and the shades are bright and bold - a winning combination.
Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted - I am a big fan of celebrity fragrances no matter how cheesy they seem. One in particular has to be Taylor Swift and this month I have found myself reaching more and more for Wonderstruck Enchanted. It's one of those scents that a couple of sprays is all that is needed and will last all day. This could go down as my overall favourite Taylor scent!
So there we have it, my favourite product for August! I'd love to know what you've been loving this past month!
