Yankee Candle Summer Scoop

Yankee Candle Summer Scoop £16.99 - Link

The nights may be drawing in, but I still find myself reaching for my summer candles. There is just something about the fruitier fragrances that I just love, and find relaxing just before I go to sleep. And let's face it there's nothing more visually appealing than a sleek jar burning in the background, there is something about that kind of atmosphere that I love.

Summer Scoop is described as fragrance that ignites delicious memories of creamy, homemade strawberry ice cream on a hot summer day. Once burning this heavenly scent really comes through, it's strangely reminds me of a mix of raspberry ripple ice cream and strawberry milkshakes. The sweet scent is rather strong and fills my room within a matter of minutes, and it doesn't smell artificial either, if that makes sense.

I adore Yankee Candle's signature housewarmer jars, the candle is presented in a gorgeous jar which serve as a perfect decorate accessory in and around your home. I like that with these jars the lid is tightly sealed which means that you can lock in the fragrance until you use your candle again, or want to add a light refreshment to your room. The only niggle with the jars is that when you allow the candle to burn further into the jar a standard lighter isn't really the best to use - unless you like burnt fingers - so a longer lighter is always best.

Medium housewarmer jars have around 65 - 90 hours burning time, which for me is a long time as I like to burn my candles during the last couple of hours at night before I tuck myself into bed. These actually retail for £16.99 but I did manage to get this from Clintons with 25% and I know that this candle may be reduced soon as we are heading into Autumn so keep your eyes peeled just incase!

Obviously I picked this up based on the fact that the candle is pink and strawberry scented, however saying that I found this scent to be rather refreshing in comparison to other scents that I own. This is one of those scents that smells good enough to eat, and ignites my love for strawberry ice cream!

I'd love to know what your favourite autumn Yankee scents!
