Colab Dry Shampoo - £3.49 - Link
It seems like the beauty world at the moment is becoming inundated with releases from fellow beauty bloggers and vloggers, and many of which are fast becoming household names. The latest release I couldn't wait to check out comes from Ruth Crilly, the face behind A Model Recommends and let's face it, I couldn't resist the hype when I found out about her Colab dry shampoo range.
Colab is designed to keep your hair feeling cleaner for longer, whilst instantly revitalising your look. The range consists of five city themed scents, including classical London, fruity New York, floral Paris, tropical Rio and finally Tokyo an oriental fragrance. I opted for Paris which is described as an enchanting floral bouquet of jasmine and rose with a touch of patchouli and New York a fresh and fruity scent of apple and melon with a light amber finish. Both of which are really refreshing and light once applied to the roots of my hair, and to be honest are some of the best smelling dry shampoos I have ever tried!
Now as a trusty Batiste user I wasn't sure how this would live up in comparison, as it is probably my favourite dry shampoo to date. However what makes this dry shampoo really stand out is the fact that the formula is invisible, which means bye bye chalky/dusty looking hair - which has always been a downside for Batiste. This is perfect for 2nd and 3rd day hair as it covers up any signs of greasiness and provides that much needed texture that my hair needs. I was a little worried what the clear consistency would mean that it wouldn't matte my hair as much as other brands, however a couple of sprays instantly leaves your hair looking like it has been freshly washed - major bonus! I know I can trust this leading up to 3rd day hair which may sound dirty, but I like to not wash my hair for as long as possible.
What I love about this range is how affordable it is, with a full sized can setting you back £3.50 (£2.32 if you get it from Superdrug as they are currently offering a 1/3 off) and mini travel sizes are £2.00. This is always a major positive considering how quickly I get through a can, honestly they only last a couple of weeks.
Have you tried Colab? I'd love to know your favourite scent?
