Benefit Roller Lash Mascara £19.50* - Link

My relationship with Benefit admittedly first started with the release of their No.1 best selling mascara and cult favourite 'They're Real', and now a couple of years down the line Benefit are back with their latest addition their Roller Lash Mascara.

Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara is designed to give you the look of longer lashes thanks to the help of their new innovative Hook 'n' Roll brush which separates, lifts and curls the lashes. So get ready to bin those eye lash curlers!

I was really intrigued by the Hook 'n' Roll brush, as it's quite small in comparison to previous Benefit wands. This proved to be a hit as I found that the small wand made it easier to apply the mascara, reaching right into the corner of your eye coating each individual smaller lashes. The mascara also comes with a build in 'wand wiper' which means that the brush is never loaded with too much product, allowing eyelashes to separate easily when applying the mascara.

When applied on the lashes this does feel a little weird to begin with as you do experience a slight pull, which is down to the hooks on the wand grabbing each individual lash, including the smaller ones. After just a single coat I noticed how this instantly lengthened my lashes, with no real effort and gives more length than They're Real. The 12 hour curl formula really helps to curl the lashes and open the eyes, giving the effect that you have used eyelash curlers. I find that if I hold the wand against the lashes for a couple of seconds this gives added curl and I find helps to set the curl for the day.

I like that the formula itself is quite wet and lightweight which means you can easily achieve volume and drama without clogging up your lashes and leaving the dreaded spider lash. Despite a wet formula this doesn't smudge or flake throughout the day which is a big plus as I've got to admit I'm a rubber! On a side note I've found this mascara really easy to remove which is a big plus if you are put off by They're Real because let's be honest it's a pain to remove.

Benefit's Roller Lash mascara is available early on the Benefit website and will be available from March. You may still be able to pick up the sample in this months Elle magazine, and would really recommend doing so if you can find any spare copies as I know the beauty world has gone mad with picking these up.

Overall I'm really impressed by this mascara, the curved wand is perfect for gripping each lash helping to achieve length and volume easily, without weighing the lashes down. As much as I hate to admit it I'm converted and my holy grail They're Real has been relegated to the drawer.

Have you tried the Roller Lash mascara?
