Max Factor is one of those brands that I haven't looked at in years, I often find myself wandering past the stand just purely as the brand has never enticed me in before. However after hearing how the Creme Puff Blushers make a great dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushers I couldn't want to spy these in my local Boots, after all who loves a good high street dupe?

The Creme Puff Blushers are described as multi-tonal shades designed to blend and build effortless to achieve the perfect sweep of colour. The multi-tonal pigments blend effortless for a gorgeous flush of colour. The range consists of six colours which merge two tones rather like a highlighter and blusher combination, designed to work with all skin-tones. Packaging wise it's very simple yet effective, I love the gold trim around the casing and make the perfect product for travelling as they are lightweight.

I was a little confused by the name of this initially, as you'd expect a cream formula. Instead the baked formula is rather smooth and contains multi-tonal pigments which illuminate and liven up your skin. Once applied these are very soft on the cheek and feel velvety to touch, the shades are really easy to wear and blend fabulously so you can either wear for a subtle hint of colour or a little heavier for a flush of colour.

When swatching these in Boots I was surprised to see how pigmented all the shades were, even the paler of the six was still packed with colour. I was a little apprehensive when applying Alluring Rose as it is definitely on the darker bronzier side of the scope, but if you are a little heavier handed these blend and buff really easily, so you don't have to worry about topping your blusher with powder to tone it down. I noticed that when wearing these throughout the day the colour remains strong and towards the end of the day when my makeup is looking a little in need of help I still notice a hint of shimmer from the blush that leaves my cheeks looking healthy.

I opted for three of the blushers, and let me tell you I love all six shades it was hard to narrow it down to my favourite three! Nude Mauve is a combination of a lighter baby skin and mauve rose which when swirled together create a subtle warm pink that is perfect for everyday wear. Seductive Pink is a gorgeous pink coral with peach undertones, which I find when blended helps tone down down the pink leaving a gorgeous coral pink with golden shimmer that always perks my cheeks up - and is very similar to Nars Orgasm. Alluring Rose is the darker of the three and more of a bronzer/blush combination. I find it more on the brown side despite its Rose name, and once applied leaves a gorgeous bronzed glow that would look amazing with a tan. A little definitely goes a long way with this bronzer, so if you are a little heavy handed you will have to be careful with this shade.

Overall I am very impressed by Max Factor's Creme Puff Blushers, they are highly pigmented allowing you the choice of either a healthy glow or flushed cheek. I think these are great dupes for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushers, especially if you can't justify £28 on a single blush, and for £8.99 I really think these could rival higher end blushers. I know these are currently on offer in Boots on 3for2 so makes an even better bargain. I know I'll be getting a lot of wear from these, and will be my top picks for when I go on holiday in May!

Have you tried Max Factor's Creme Puff Blushers?
