LtoR: Benefit Majorette, Benefit Roller Lash, Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Eastend Snob, Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade, MAC Viva Glam Miley, Seventeen Skin Wow Primer, Soap & Glory Solar Powder
It's that time of the month again - no ladies not that one- but we're another month into 2015, it is honestly flying and I can't believe we are in March already, before I know it I'll be on my jollies in May. This month well this year I have tried to experiment with my makeup, and try items out of my comfort zone whether this be a brighter lip or darker contour I've been experimenting more, and I can honestly say how much I've been enjoying trying new things, and I wanted to share with you some of my February favourites.
I actually picked up the Benefit Majorette when it was first released and used it a few times and kind of forgot about it - shameful I know. It was only until last month that I rediscovered not only this blush but my love for it also. I am a big fan of cream to powder blushers and this is really easy to apply and the smallest amount gives a healthy glow to the cheeks. Once applied it's a gorgeous soft pink coral that looks amazing just as we are heading into Spring. Benefit have hit the mark with both their stunning packaging and the gorgeous scent this blusher packs.
Another favourite last month comes in the form of the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara I recently did a full review of this that you can read here so I won't ramble on too much. But this mascara is the bomb dot com - to be frank. As someone who is quite picky with mascaras this delivers length, volume and even curl! The small curved wand means that you can apply the mascara to each individual lash achieving length and volume really easily without weighing the lashes down. This also looks amazing when teamed with the They're Real mascara making a dynamic duo.
Last month I discovered the Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Eastend Snob, after coming to the realisation that to get a backup Whirl lipliner is virtually impossible, so I needed something that I could use on a daily basis and something that is easier to repurchase - this is where Eastend Snob came into play. This is a gorgeous deep nude pink lipliner that is similar in terms of colouring to Whirl but for a fraction of the price. This has become a favourite lip liner this month as it pairs perfectly with many of my nude lipsticks.
After much deliberation I caved and purchased the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Soft Brown, which coming from someone who is scared of purchasing makeup online in the worry that I'd pick the wrong shade is a big thing. I actually did a full review on this here, but in short this is by far my favourite brow product to date - not only does to help define the brows it also looks very natural and sculpts arches that I never knew I had in my brows. With someone with very fine brows this gives the appearance of fuller and thicker brows even when using the smallest amount.
Another new purchase last month was the MAC Viva Glam Miley which you can read the full review here. As someone who hadn't ventured into bright pinks this was a welcomed change from nudes. What I really like about this shade is how well it complements my complexion and with being an Amplified finish it sits somewhere in the middle of a matte and creme lipstick - which is quickly becoming my favourite formula. This is not only a fun colour to wear but proceeds of this lipstick go to the MAC Aids fund so a win win lipstick for me.
A rediscovery last month has been the Seventeen Skin Wow Primer a three way highlighter that has proved to be a big hit. I've been loving using this liquid highlighter when combined with my foundation, as it leaves my skin glowing and really brightens my face. I find it works perfectly with two pumps foundation one pump Skin Wow. I find that sometimes my skin looks rather dull whether it be due to the winter or lack of sleep - but one pump of this and it instantly radiates the skin giving a healthy glow. For that reason I am definitely looking forward to continue using this into the Summer!
My last February favourite has to be the Soap & Glory Solar Powder which I did a full review on here (can you see a trend forming). My new look on makeup has led me to experimenting more with bronzers and contouring products and one of the newest products to enter my collection was Soap & Glory's Solar Powder. I love that this is a multi-shade bronzer and highlighter duo, because when mixed together it gives a light glow to the skin whilst highlighting the tops of my cheeks. This is the perfect shade for us paler girls also, making a safe bet for those who want to introduce bronzers into their routine.
There we have it my favourite products for the month, I'd love to know what your monthly favourites are?
