Hi I'm Charlee, and I'm a shopaholic - I literally cannot help myself and this means that over the past few years I have acquired quite a lot of possessions, many that mean a lot to me for various reasons. After reading Legal & General's article on How Much Do We Value Our Possessions, it really got me thinking that maybe I underestimate some of the valuables in my bedroom. So with this in mind I wanted to share with you some of my most prized possessions.
To start with, some of my most prized possessions include my jewellery, not because of the brands I am able to own but more because of the sentimental reasoning behind it. The Tiffany bracelet is actually the first item I ever purchased with my own money at 15 after saving and saving I experienced my first ever luxury shopping experience in Tiffany and Co in Hawaii and for that reason I couldn't bear to part with this. Next up in my Vivienne Westwood necklace which was a present from my mom and dad for a birthday a couple of years ago, and I don't know about you but anything I'm gifted from family and friends I instantly create a connection with. Lastly is probably my most important piece of jewellery, and what means the most to me and that is my engagement ring. Not only is it a beautiful piece with a stunning diamond, but this has significance sentimental meaning as this without being too soppy shows James' love for me and commitment to spending our lives together.
Next up I will have to admit is a little materialistic but this is my Louis Vuitton collection, I didn't want to share everything but instead some of my favourite pieces. I've always wanted to own a piece from Louis Vuitton and after starting my collection a few years ago the obsession grew, each piece filling me with excitement and happiness. Each item has its own sentimental story which makes my collection special, the keyring was a present to myself for passing one of my modules with a 1st after thinking I was going to fail following three sleepless nights. One of my bags a graduation present from my parents, and my makeup bag my first purchase from the LV store in Paris. This means that the true value of this collection is quite pricey and therefore I think it's important to make sure these are protected with contents insurance.
I don't know about you but amongst some of my most prized possessions are photographs, I know we live in an age where you can store most of your photos on your phone, tablet or computer but for me nothing beats an actual photograph. I try to capture every moment on camera and then get photos to fill up albums, frames or just my room. Some of which include my favourite memories in Paris, dining up the Eiffel Tower and getting engaged, and those are just really priceless possessions.
Last but not least is my makeup collection, I know to some their collection wouldn't necessarily be a prized possession but for me it is something I take pride in and I take great pleasure in showcasing my makeup. I like to display everything neatly either in my Malm Dresser or on top.
What are some of your most prized possessions?
