LtoR: Urban Decay Naked Palette 3, Body Shop Blue Abyss & Sequins Silver*, MAC Frankly Scarlet, MAC All Fired Up, Eylure Fleur de Force Simply Fleur Lashes, Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop
The festive season is always my favourite time of the year to experiment with makeup and ditch my trusty neutrals in favour of something a little more bright sparkly. So I wanted to share with you my makeup picks to amp up the glamour just in time for you Christmas Party.
My favourite eye palette for the festive season has to be the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette, purely for the combination of rosy hues. This palette is so versatile and easy to use meaning that you can opt for a softer luminous eye or a warmer smokey eye, it's completely up to you. This palette can easily take you from Christmas Party Glamour to Christmas Morning Beauty. Now I can't believe I am saying this, but I have never ventured down the road of False Eyelashes before, despite being a newbie I'm really loving lashes of late - in particular the Eylure Fleur de Force Simply Fleur lashes, they aren't too out there but still add enough length and volume to open your eyes and allowing them to pop. So if you're a lash newbie like me I'd definitely recommend these!
Christmas is always about the glow for me, so I had to include the gorgeous Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop. Once applied this gives a gorgeous rosy golden glow to your cheekbones, and actually shows up really well on the skin especially when caught in the light allowing your features to really pop. I like to also apply this on the inner corners of my eye just to help make my eyes pop - it's all about the pop with highlighter!. I like to combine this with MAC Frankly Scarlet, which may look a little scary in the pan, but when applied very lightly gives the most gorgeous natural rosy flush to the cheeks which instantly lifts and perks your complexion, making it the perfect option for the festive season.
A swipe of MAC All Fired Up perfectly compliments the look without being too much. This for me is the perfect vibrant pink, with hints of red tones I find this to be a fresh take on the classical red lip. Being a retro matte formula this isn't gonna budge from the lips, which means it will see you through your Christmas Party and will still be as intense as when it was first applied.
To complete my look I'm loving the combination of The Body Shop Colour Crush polishes in Blue Abyss and Sequins Silver. The pair create the most stunning combination, and you only need a single coat of Blue Abyss as the formula is so pigmented. Accenting the tips of the nails with Sequins Silver for that festive finish!
I'd love to know your go to makeup picks for Christmas Party Glamour!
