LtoR: Body Shop Eyeshadow Palette in Swinging Silver, Colour Crush Polish in Blue Abyss and Sequins Silver, Colour Crush Lipstick in Coral Blush
I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for Limited Edition Christmas Collections, from the festive shades to the gorgeous packaging - there is just something about this time of the year that makes me want to stock up on every limited edition set. The Body Shop's Christmas collection is no different, released as part of their #FeelSoGood campaign, which is filled with gorgeous gifts for everyone this festive season.
The Body Shop Eyeshadow Palette in Swinging Silver is such a gorgeous quad and perfect for the festive season. I love the mix of metallics, warm winter smokey hues, complete with the most gorgeous coral to add some pop to the inner corners of your eyes. When combined these shades create a gorgeous smokey look which can be worn for a festive night out or during Christmas Day. I've never actually tried The Body Shop eyeshadows before, but the pigmentation is fab - each shadow feels buttery to apply and blend really well on the lid. Packaging wise, I'm loving the sleek shiny packaging with geometric accents with a 1920's theme - it's definitely one of those that will pop against other packaging . Complete with a mirror inside the palette which makes it perfect for taking with you on your festive travels. This palettes makes a great gift as it also includes a tutorial on the back, showing you how to use the shades which is fab if you are after some inspiration, or buying for an eyeshadow newbie.
When sporting a smokey eye I like to keep my lips natural especially for Christmas Day, so The Body Shop Colour Crush Festive Lipstick in Coral Blush is perfect for adding a pop of colour whilst complimenting the smokey eye. When applied this glides on really easily and smooth and the formula is so creamy which is great for the colder months as you feel that it's nourishing at the same time. I find that this is really well pigmented also which means you only need a couple of swipes for a rich opaque payoff, which will last you through your Christmas dinner.
To complete my Christmas look I'm love the combination of The Body Shop Colour Crush Polishes in Blue Abyss and Sequins Silver, when worn together this makes a stunning festive pairing. I really love the formula for Blue Abyss as it's so pigmented and you can easily get away with just one coat, dries really quickly and the finish is so shiny it looks like I've applied a coat of Seche Vite! To accent my manicure I love to team this with Sequins Silver as this is a perfect festive top coat, and can be worn either on the tips of the nails or to your accent nail. I like that the formula isn't gloopy as sometimes glitter can be a nightmare to work with, but this glides on the nails really easily and disperses the right amount of glitter.
Overall I'm really loving The Body Shop's Christmas range, and would make a great gift for any makeup lover. I'd love to know your favourite items from their Christmas range!
