I always find that during the festive season my Christmas list is filled with luxury beauty that would make almost any beauty lover swoon over Xmas morning. So with that in mind, I wanted to share with you my must have luxury makeup picks for your Christmas lists, so if you are looking for a bit of Xmas wishlist inspiration get a pen and paper ready...
Starting with some of the some of the most swoon worthy makeup to ever hit beauty department stores, and that's Charlotte Tilbury. As these are definitely on the pricer side of luxury makeup I find that the range makes for great gifts. A must have for me is the Filmstar Killer Cheekbones gift set, containing the cult favourite the Filmstar Bronze & Glow and Power & Sculpt brush. Whilst the brush is not a necessity I think the pair make the perfect duo and definitely do create killer cheekbones. For the lipstick lover in you I would definitely recommend the K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Bitch Perfect and the complimentary Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. The two of these make the perfect duo for a festive nude lip, and not only do they look great but will make any makeup bag feel more luxurious.
I always love the release of MAC holiday collections, especially their lipsticks and lip bags - and this year is no different. Whilst some of the shades are not new, the purple bullet packaging is just gorgeous and one that will definitely stand out amongst the traditional packaging. Their lip bags are not only great value for money but a fab way of trying everyday shades out as I find they always release a nude and a red lip so it's great if you want to try something new but not too much out of your comfort zones, whilst presented in cute makeup bags.
Liquid Lipsticks are still a huge trend, and one I don't seen calming down anytime soon. A recent discovery has been the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick range, and whilst being a little pricey but I've found the range to be the ultimate non-budging lip product. These are a great dupe of the Sephora Cream Lip Stains for those in the UK, and the shades are quite similar also. These are not only easy to apply, provide tons of pigment but they don't budge either once applied - so a great option for those who want a long lasting lip option.
The wait is finally over for those wanting to get their hands on the Too Faced Hangover Primer, now that this is stocked in the UK. This is perfect for a winter skin pick me up, this primer really adds a glow to the skin whilst plumping and waking up the skin mimicking a good nights sleep. This stuff also smells heavenly, and if you like a coconut scent I'd definitely recommend. If you feel that your skin is looking a little lack lustre or dull, you definitely need to make sure this is on your list as it injects a healthy, dewy complexion back into the skin.
A new release to get excited about is the recent collaboration between Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani. Packed with 15 gorgeous shades, which range from neutrals to brights, mattes to shimmers there is a mix of shadows to suit everyone. This palette is perfect for creating so many looks, and the formula makes for easy work, so if you're lusting after some new shadows I'd definitely recommend adding this to your Christmas list - and let's be honest look at how gorgeous the packaging is - whilst not the easiest to travel with it's a welcome change to the Naked palettes.
If you're in the market for a new brush set I cannot recommend Zoeva enough, not only are the quality of their brushes AH-MAZING they won't break the bank either. The Zoeva Rose Gold Luxury Brush Set would not only look gorgeous on your vanity, but the eight piece set is very useable and will make your daily makeup application routine effortless. Complete with the lovely faux leather travel bag which doubles up as a great sized makeup bag, the set not only is great value for money but makes the perfect gift to unwrap Christmas morning.
I'd love to know what beauty items your lusting after this Christmas!
