Must-haves for Pale Skin Beauty

Must-haves for Pale Skin Beauty

Over the past few months I've noticed my tan fading and my pearly pale skintone making an appearance, and this means resorting back to my paler foundations and lighter blushers. Having pale skin means that it can sometimes be a mission to find the right products for my skintone as some items can be too orange or even too white - despite names such as porcelain or ivory - so I wanted to share with you my top beauty products for pale skin.

A nude lip is often a safe bet for pale skin but this can often leave you looking more ghost like than you can imagine if you go for a shade that is too light. The Charlotte Tilbury KISSING Bitch Perfect Lipstick is such a classical nude pink with warm undertones that make it really flattering on the lips without washing me out. This lipstick also contains light-reflecting pigments which give the appearance of a gloss and leaves my lips definitely looking a little more fuller. I love to wear this with the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk as they make the perfect combination. Pillow Talk is a very natural mauve pink which helps to really compliment my natural lip colour whilst adding a little bit of depth of oomph that help my lips pop.

When I want to sport a darker nude I love to wear MAC Mehr, this is a gorgeous cool toned pink that I find to be really flattering against pale skin and is another shade that helps my lips to pop. I find that because this is a darker nude this really helps to create a stronger finish to any makeup look. One of my favourite liners to wear with this is MAC Edge to Edge which is described as a dirty blue pink, I find though when worn it looks more like a mauve-y pink with brown/pink undertones and is just so flattering either on its own or when combined with Mehr.

For the eyes I love glittery shades that aren't too dark but dark enough to create a gorgeous eye-opening contour. Recently I've fallen in love with the MAC Foiled Eyeshadow in Enchanted Forest which is the most gorgeous warm rich brown with a metallic sheen. You can easily wear this on its own and you are guaranteed a flattering eye look without being too over the top. Another eye favourite for pale skin is the Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze, this is a stunning cool toned bronze that creates a gorgeous neutral eye. This is perfect if you are looking for an all over wash of colour as this never looks too dark, and instead always remains very flattering, especially if you have blue or green eyes.

Cheeks I find can be a right pain to find a flattering yet noticeable shade, as you end up feeling like you can only go for the most palest of pinks and then when you apply you're wondering where the product has actually gone as it's hardly noticeable. I really love how the Benefit Dandelion Blush looks on the skin, whilst this looks really pale in the pan, when applied this gives a gorgeous healthy glow that adds a subtle hint of healthy colour without going over the top. With this you don't have to worry about being too heavy handed. Often us fair skinned girls can have trouble finding the right shade of pink when it comes to blushers, as they can often be either too bright or a bit on the yellow side, but one that ticks all the boxes for me is the MAC Dollymix Blush. You do need to be light handed with this as a little goes a long way but once applied never looks over the top, but instead gives the appearance of a gorgeous natural flush of colour to the skin.

Contouring can be a right pain in the bum when you have pale skin as you can end up looking more orange than sculpted. Recently I've really been loving the NYX Contour Palette as the contour shades definitely fall on the ashier side of the scale which means these are great to sculpt out the cheekbones without looking too orange against your skin. The highlights are very light also, there's the choice between a pearl and peach which is great depending on whether you're warm or cool toned.

I'd love to know what are your must have products for pale skin?
