I'm often labelled as a beauty enabler by my friends, sharing with them my must have beauty products that they need to try. With that in mind I wanted to do something similar with you guys, and seeing as payday is just around the corner there is no better excuse! So I'm sharing with you my top five must try beauty products, that are definitely worth adding to your makeup bag if you haven't already done so!
Starting with the base I've recently fell back in love with the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, and it has quickly made its way back into my everyday makeup routine. This is such a great base that blends seamlessly into the skin and leaves my base looking flawless whilst covering any blemishes or redness with ease. Once applied I find I find that this leaves a semi-matte finish to the skin which is quite the opposite to what you'd expect of a foundation titled 'sheer glow', but this lasts all day and helps keep any shine at bay for those who fall on the oiler side of things.
A second base favourite comes in the form of the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder, this was one of my first ever MAC purchases and probably my most re-purchased product, why you ask? Well this stuff works, this helps set my foundation without ever looking cakey despite the number of layers I choose to apply. What also makes this powder great is the fact that this can be worn alone as it has a little coverage and is incredibly long-lasting for those days where you have good skin day but you still want a little something on.
To perk up my complexion and give some definition to the face I cannot recommend the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow enough! There's just something about this product that adds a real sense of luxury to your makeup collection, the sculpt shade is perfect for carving out any non-existent cheek bones to create a sculpted look. The highlight pan is a stunning champaign shade that gives the skin a natural and radiant glow without looking like a disco ball. When worn together this creates the most gorgeous summer bronzed glow and is just so easy to use whether you're a contouring pro or newbie.
To keep my brow game strong I cannot recommend Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade enough, a little goes a long way to create the perfect brows. I find that depending on the look you want to go for this can mimic brow hairs for a natural look, or you can outline your brows for a statement arch. If you have thinner brows and want the appearance of thicker brows this doesn't look to silly if you do over line which I love as long as you smooth out with a spoolie. Best of all? This stuff doesn't budge all day so you don't have to worry about running half a brow off if you accidentally rub your face.
For the lips it had to be MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick, a cult product all with good reason. I'm a big fan of neutral lip shades and this definitely falls into that category, mimicking the shade of my own lips giving the your lips but better effect - but I do think this is a universally flattering shade. Despite being a matte formula this applies really smoothly on the lips and you don't have to worry about the formula drying your lips out during the day. This is one of those shades that is so subtle yet still provides the perfect lip for statement style.
