LtoR: Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub, Anastasia Brow Wiz, Urban Decay Perversion Mascara, Colourpop Lippie Stix in Lumiere, Benefit Rockateur, Eylure Lengthening 035 Lashes, Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
It's crazy to think we have just welcomed April, and that we are already four months into 2016. Anyways I haven't done a monthly favourites post in a while and the past month I have been trying to cut down on my makeup spending and shop my stash, resulting in re-discovering some old favourites that I couldn't wait to share with you all in my March beauty favourites.
Starting with one item I haven't been able to put down all month and that's the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub, for some reason my lips have really took a battering recently and I've been suffering from really sore, dry and chapped lips - which I'm blaming down to the weather. But this scrub has been a complete lifesaver removing any dry flakes which just a rub of my fingers - and it tastes divine which makes it all the better. Despite how sore my lips have been this doesn't irritate them either but instead leaves smooth lips that are flake free and ready for a slick of lip balm to moisturise.
Now a little while ago I did a statement brow post featuring some of my favourite brow products, and naturally the Anastasia Brow Wiz has made my monthly favourites also. A bit of a long story but two Brow Definers down I've gone back to my trusty Brow Wiz (be warned I've had two definers pop out and break on me) and I can safely say I won't be wandering elsewhere anytime soon. This is such a great product to not only define the shape of your brows but fills in sparse areas with ease whilst always giving the appearance of natural brows.
I don't know about you but I seem to own so many mascaras I end up just buying and buying so I am on a mission to use them all up before buying new. Since the beginning of the month I have been using the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and I don't know how I ever forgot about this, I remember when I first tried it not being impressed at all but once the formula has dried a little this is amazing! This clings onto the lashes with such ease not only lengthening them but giving some serious volume at the same time. I like how buildable the formula is and you never have to worry about spider lashes and lashes remain separated and natural. I'm gutted I only have the travel size of this but once my spending ban is over this will be a definite repurchase.
After hearing such good things about Colourpop I knew I wouldn't be able to resist putting an order in, and since getting my box of goodies last month I've really been loving the Colourpop Lippie Stix in Lumiere, a stunning dusty mauve pink in a matte finish which was actually created by Kathleen Lights! This is such a beautiful colour and the formula is amazing, despite being a matte this never feels drying or tight on the lips but rather creamy when applied. This lasts fairly well on the lips also surviving many drink and food tests with just light feathering around the corners of your lips. This has definitely left me wanting to check out more of the Lippie Stix range.
One of my favourite Benefit products has to be the boxed blushers and during the last month I've really been loving the Benefit Rockateur Blush, a beautiful brown / peach blush. Now normally this isn't the sort of shade that I'd go for but I find this adds the most beautiful sun kissed glow to your skin and really perks your complexion. I love that this has a super fine shimmer which applies to the skin without being too glittery, acting as a multi use product highlighting the tops of your cheeks at the same time.
Over the past six months I've really grown to love false lashes and one set I've been wearing more than any others has been the Eylure Lengthening 035 lashes. These have a subtle band which makes applying a lot easier, and when it comes to applying the glue because the band is so thin these look very natural and you don't have to worry about applying liner to blend the band. Once applied these look very natural whilst giving the appearance of longer and more volumised lashes. These are so lightweight once applied and you can go ahead your day or night and not even feel like you're wearing lashes which is always a good sign!
Last but not least is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, I often go through phases where I love setting sprays and other times I don't see the point in them. However the past month I've been getting into the routine of applying the spray before and after makeup and it seems to have really made a difference in the longevity of my makeup. This spray literally does what it says on the bottle and keeps your makeup in place all day, and despite having oily skin I think I actually prefer this version to the de-slick as I just find this holds my makeup in place better.
So these are my monthly favourites, I'd love to know what yours are!
