Fashion and beauty at the Telford Centre

I love that with every new season comes new fashion and beauty trends for us to embrace, I have gladly ditched black in favour of brighter prints, summer dresses and pink lips. This weekend the Telford Centre hosted their fashion and beauty event which showcased this season's must-have spring and summer looks in clothing, makeup and fashion.

The two day event included fashion live presentations, beauty style clinics and pop up shops. I loved watching the fashion live presentations, from River Island to Marks and Spencer to Debenhams, there were a great range of high street names featured in each presentation, even hidden brands such as Office and Oasis, which don't have their own stand alone shop but are available within the bigger department stores. Some of the key trends for the season include ruffles, statement tops, gingham, mules and micro accessories.

Since my weight loss I have really struggled to find my fashion sense once more, but I found today so helpful, the styles that were showcased left me browsing the retailers ready to stock up on new season essentials.

We were also invited to a beauty masterclass with Chanel, Estee Lauder and Urban Decay to look at their latest products and some key beauty looks. I am eagerly awaiting the launch of the latest Urban Decay contour and highlight palettes as they look absolutely stunning and I even had the opportunity to sport one of their new highlight shades during the day, which definitely left my skin looking summer ready. Chanel showcased a beautiful everyday makeup look, which is so easy to achieve and definitely a look I'll be sporting for work. Finally Estee Lauder showcased their latest skincare additions, which I have already fallen in love with, including a skin tonic to rival Pixi as well as their signature bronze goddess collection.

The event also included beauty style clinics which is perfect for the makeup lover in me, I had the opportunity to sit down with the lovely Clinique girls to get expert makeup advice and try some of their new lip products.

There was also the opportunity to sample the sweet treats on offer at Patisserie Valerie within the centre's Debenhams. Admittedly I have never tried a cake from Patisserie Valerie before, and I was definitely missing out. I tried their double chocolate cake which came topped with a profiterole and my goodness it was heaven with each bite.

Overall the beauty and fashion event is one not to be missed, I love seeing the high streets take on new season trends and this has definitely gave me that inspiration that I needed to update my wardrobe ready for the summer months.
